Today’s Just One Thing is a little out there, the first of a three-part series. Â
I’ve challenged myself to jot down the first word that comes to mind when I read the first letter of each word in our newsletter’s title.
Then, I must find interesting stuff that begins with that letter and share it with you.Â
Today’s word is JUST.Â
Here goes:
J for Jolene! Here’s a bunch of my favourite covers of Dolly Parton’s classic song: Miley Cyrus, Pentatonix, and The Petersens.Â
U for Umbrella! Here’s Tom Holland’s extraordinary performance on the Lip Sync Battle, dancing to Rihanna’s Umbrella. I’ve watched this video more times than I can count.Â
S is for Sari, one of India’s favourite draped garments. Here’s a crisp history of the sari in India and beyond.Â
T is for Tea (A beverage I hate)! I found this quaint little book on the Internet Archive called The Afternoon Tea Book, written by Agnes Catherine Maitland and published in 1900. It has recipes for all sorts of delicious and fancy-sounding recipes like Madeira Cake and My Lady’s Gateau.Â
This has been fun!
Keep an eye out for the next part of this series (whenever it comes) when I try to find stuff beginning with each letter in ONE.
