“I’m sure the universe is full of intelligent life. It’s just been too intelligent to come here.”
I wonder what Arthur C. Clarke would make of the extraterrestrial flying objects that have been increasingly dropping in on our tiny blue planet.
Maybe the Earth is the galaxy’s hot new drive-in – we make for a fun reality show, no? Does ET have popcorn?
I’m far less terrified of not being alone in the universe than being alone. Thinking we’re *that* special is sheer hubris.
If you want to know why I think it’s sheer arrogance, check out Scale of the universe. (Do yourself a favour and turn off sound.)
Have a great weekend y’all.
