#435 | Less like London; more like California
This year has been a wild rollercoaster for me, and we’re not even halfway through! I’ve had to learn so many life lessons on the fly: coping with loss, navigating grief, ditching toxic people, and finding my voice.
So much of it was overwhelming, but some brought sweet relief.
One big relief was ending a friendship with a narcissist I had been clinging to, hoping for some kind of fulfilment. When it finally ended, as banged up, I felt good. Suddenly, I had all this energy and hope. And while it came after many days of feeling like a gloomy rain cloud, holed up in my room, the catharsis felt like the first rain of the season, washing away unwanted irritants.
Now that I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, I’m back at it, restarting Things on behalf of us all. I'm also a year older. Happy Nikita Day to all of you. It’s all good. There is joy. And so, in the spirit of things that bring joy here’s a feel-good Insta and a happy newspaper.
