#332 | Get yourself a little perspective
In life's daily humdrum, we often forget how infinitesimal we are in the grand scheme of things. Not always a bad thing - though smallness shouldn't be an aspiration per se.
Personally, when things get overwhelming, I like to remember I am but a speck of stardust in this weird universe. And that giant knot in my chest eases a little.
The sea, in its vastness, is a great reminder of our relative insignificance.
Another is today's Thing - an archive of aerial photographs by Swiss artist George Gerster.
The man who took these, as I found out, was a total badass - no drones involved. He just hung out of aeroplanes, armed only with his camera, grit, and the unflinching human need to create art.
One of my favourites is this photograph of Brackish pools near Morawa, Australia, one of which resembles a fried egg.
Go on then, zoom out for a while and try a different view for a change. The results will surprise you.
