We're no strangers to quizzes and games here at JOT. In fact, we're very good friends with them. From Karina's Quick Draw, Pai's paper plane folding, to Proiti's Harvard quiz checking tone deafness, we've talked about it all.
Just kidding.
The internet is an endless stretch of resources, and games (and other miscellany) pop up every day like persistent fungi. That's why we've written approximately 400 new Things every day and can still continue.
Today, I bring you the motherload. Sporcle.
I'd previously brought to your attention their uber cool and popular game, Cheese or Font - while missing the plethora of other treats the website had to offer. Well, I'm not making the same mistake twice.
I'm here to give you the whole cake and not a sliver. Alongside the standard word puzzles and crosswords, there's a Just for Fun category that caters to a very specific part of my brain, with games like 15 Seconds of Black or Bizarre Crayon Colour.
My one word of caution would be to check this site out only when you have some time to kill. I have already been sucked into its magnetic pull while writing this Thing.
And now I'm off to add some more Sporcle to my life.Â
