👀 Merriam and Webster anew
#296 | More than meets the eye

Like Indy on a quest, I've plumbed their hidden depths to point you to a whole section of word games and quizzes.
Okay, I bumped into them in the hallways of the Internet - but that metaphor's been stretched enough I think.
Back to the Thing - to me, word games are always great for when you want to ride the hubris train or gorge on humble pie. And some of my favourites from Merriam and Webster are their vocabulary quizzes. I don't know what demographic they're pulling the statistics from, but I can't deny the thrill of being among the top contenders in the world.
There's also a complicated game of Quordle (think Wordle on cocaine) that I've begun to view as my personal Moby Dick.
It's not always that you flip through a dictionary and find hours of activities. I guess that's why we still use the Internet.
