The number of times I have watched a food video with absolutely no intention of actually cooking what its teaching me to cook is astounding.
Have you watched butter melt in a pan in slow motion? Or a piece of garlic bread slathered with the stringiest cheese being pulled apart? How about a loaf of bread rising to take its final shape? A fresh sheet of pasta being carefully rolled out of a pasta machine?
So satisfying, amirite? You canβt blame me for my indulgence.
Why am I talking about food videos though? This Just One Thing is not about food videos. But it is about something just as delicious.
Typography.
I have successfully made the move from endlessly watching tasty food videos to obsessively pursuing delicious fonts.
This is a good place to start. Or here for something more desi. And if you fancy a bit of a virtual walk, head over to this type tour of Indiranagar, Bangalore, for a stroll through Delhiβs Connaught Place, or get a teeny tiny glimpse into my city.
Are you down a typographic rabbit hole already? Haffun.
I have more typographic gems hidden away. If you liked this one, let me know and maybe Iβll send more your way?
Hi Ria. This certainly is very interesting. Goes to show that we see many things(fonts, in this case) but never notice them. Or even if we do, we rarely give them another thought. Well written!
Nice
