I'm always on the lookout for low-maintenance games to play with friends both long and short distance.
My Instagram feed granted my wishes (or, more likely, it's tracking my searches so it knows what I want before I do) and pointed me to Music League.Â
It's an app, but it can be accessed via any browser for those who can't be bothered to download yet another thing (it's me, hi). Anyone can join/create a league, each comprising rounds with a specific theme, and then select a song from Spotify that best matches the theme.Â
Then, every member votes for the song that they think is the most apt. It's a lot more democratic than whatever the hell is happening in countries across the world at this point.  Â
I'm a casual listener, I'll never be able to rattle off a singer's entire discography, but I always carry music with me. So I'd say I have a decent repertoire of songs at this point. Â
This game is putting it to the test. I started with one league, and I've joined four more since. Now I'm roping you in.
If nothing else, it's a great way to discover and rediscover some great songs!
