I listen to music all the time. There's always a song in the background as I write, clean, cook, and finish my chores.
Imo, the best time for music is on a commute. Commuting is everyone's least favourite thing, but as Ria says, a commute brings its own kind of peace. I can't think of a better time to have the perfect indie film main character moment - with the right soundtrack, of course! How can I be expected to wring every atom of emotion from the most mundane of life experiences without a background score to my life?
Now, while I have zero musical ability, I do have eclectic taste. My playlists feature everything from Bombay Jayashri to Bombay Bicycle Club and everything in between. And I'm always on a quest for more. With so many artists releasing so many songs by the minute, I'd often fear my dream track would evade me in the algorithm.
Then I found just the Thing to help with the FOMO.
Forgotify is a website that brings to the forefront the broken, the beaten, and the damned. Or less dramatically, songs that have slipped through the cracks and been rarely or never played.Â
Never before could you say "I liked them before they were famous" and mean it. Literally.Â
So let your inner hipster range free - maybe you'll stumble upon your next favourite song?Â
