If you have to know just one thing about me (*wink wink*), I'm a hardcore city girl. Despite fleeting fancies of foraging in a farmstead, I know in my heart that the urban jungle is the only place for me.
Escaping into woodlands and nature sometimes is a good break, though. And when I can't physically travel, there's the world wide web.
One of my favourite escapes is a page called Small Woodland Things, run by Heather Brooks, an artist who collects, puts together, and photographs interesting flora, fungi, and finds from the forest floor.
They lead to some pretty wild stuff.
If you were one of those people who read that one viral Tumblr post about mushrooms and were changed as a person, then this is for you. And if you weren't, I'd urge you to look it up; your life might never be the same again.Â
